This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules for using OKAY DEV® — including our website, profiles, portfolios, social feed, directory, and related features. We want OKAY DEV to be a place where creative professionals and businesses can share work, learn, and connect respectfully.

1. Be respectful and constructive

You agree not to post or transmit any content that:

  • Harasses, threatens, abuses, or discriminates against others
  • Contains hate speech, defamation, or harassment
  • Incites violence or illegal activity
  • Violates another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights
  • Targets individuals or groups based on race, gender, orientation, or beliefs

Disagreement and critique are welcome; personal attacks are not.

2. Stay professional and on-topic

OKAY DEV exists to share creative work and industry insight — not for unrelated or disruptive behavior.

  • Do not use the platform to promote unrelated commercial products or spam
  • Do not misrepresent yourself, your skills, or your role in projects
  • Do not impersonate another person or company
  • Do not artificially boost engagement or rankings (likes, reposts, follows, etc.)

3. Keep content lawful and safe

  • Do not upload, share, or link to content that includes malware, phishing, or malicious code
  • Do not post or promote illegal activity
  • Do not distribute pirated or infringing material
  • Do not collect information about others without consent

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and honor valid takedown requests.

4. Respect intellectual property

Creators own their work. By posting content, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe on others’ copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets.

5. Protect privacy

Do not share private information about others — including email addresses, private messages, or non-public project data — without consent.

Reports, feedback, or moderation submissions may include file uploads; these are processed according to our Privacy Policy.

6. Platform integrity

  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
  • Do not interfere with the proper functioning of the site (e.g., bots, scraping, exploits)
  • Do not reverse engineer or attempt to copy proprietary code or databases
  • Do not use automated systems to extract user data or content

We review reports promptly and apply moderation fairly, per our Community Guidelines.
