Terms and Conditions

Welcome to OKAY DEV® — a community built by and for creative professionals. These Terms explain how our website, platform, and services work, and the rules that help keep everything fair, respectful, and secure. By creating an account or using any part of okaydev.co, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site or its features.

We operate https://okaydev.co and related services (“OKAY DEV,” ​“we,” ​“our,” or ​“us”). Our platform includes user profiles, portfolios, social posts, articles, a directory, gallery, job board, and optional paid subscriptions (“PRO”) that unlock advanced features.

2. Using OKAY DEV

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use OKAY DEV.
  • Use the site only for lawful, respectful, and community-appropriate purposes.
  • Profile and portfolio fields are public by default but optional. Only share information you’re comfortable displaying publicly.
  • You’re responsible for activity on your account, including content you post or upload.

3. Accounts and Registration

  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep your password secure; don’t share credentials or impersonate others.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

4. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

  • PRO plans are billed securely through Stripe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing cycle.
  • Manage or cancel any time via the Stripe Billing Portal (linked in your account).
  • All sales are final. PRO features unlock instantly and include digital access; we don’t offer refunds or partial credits.

We may adjust prices with prior notice via the site or email.

5. Content Ownership and Rights

Your Work

You own all rights to the content you create and upload — including text, images, videos, and project assets (“Your Content”). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to us.

Limited License to OKAY DEV

By uploading or posting Your Content, you grant OKAY DEV a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Display Your Content on the OKAY DEV platform and related areas (gallery, directory, social feed, etc.).
  • Feature or share Your Content in OKAY DEV marketing materials, newsletters, and social media for the purpose of promoting the community (never for resale).

You may revoke this license at any time by deleting Your Content or deactivating your account (see Section 10).

Attribution and Respect

We respect authorship and credit. We won’t remove or alter your name or profile credit when showcasing your work.

Client Work

If you upload client or collaborative work, you confirm you have permission to share it publicly.

6. User Conduct

  • Do not harass, intimidate, exploit, or dox others.
  • No hate speech, explicit, or discriminatory content.
  • No malware, spam, or content that violates intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Do not collect user data without consent or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the site.

Please follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.

7. Moderation and Reporting

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our guidelines.

Reports and evidence: Users may submit reports — including file uploads or screenshots — about content or behavior. We handle reports confidentially and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property of OKAY DEV

All design elements, code, trademarks, and other assets of OKAY DEV are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, modify, or redistribute them without written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

OKAY DEV integrates third-party tools such as Stripe (billing), Flodesk (newsletters), and analytics providers. Each has its own privacy and terms. We choose reputable providers but are not responsible for their actions.

10. Termination

  • You may close your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or community policies, misuse the platform, or if continued use could cause harm to the community or our operations.
  • Termination does not affect your ownership of Your Content, but your projects or profile may no longer be displayed on the site.

11. Disclaimers

  • The services are provided ​“as is.” We strive for stability and accuracy but can’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • Member content represents their own opinions and work and is not an endorsement by OKAY DEV.
  • External links and third-party integrations are offered for convenience and used at your discretion.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • OKAY DEV is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
  • Our total liability to you will not exceed the total fees you paid (if any) for your PRO subscription during the past 12 months.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions; where prohibited, local laws apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Michigan, USA, excluding conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be handled in Michigan courts or via a mutually agreed mediation/arbitration process.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the ​“Last updated” date and post a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
