I have just completed a fairly heavy section of the JavaScript curriculum. I've been using AI as a 'tutor' to help explain things and get me through labs. What are your thoughts on utilizing AI as a learning tool?
Firstly, congrats on completing the curriculum! AI can be an excellent tutor providing a greater sense of understanding. Don't take everything as truth (it can mess up too) and don't let it become a crutch, just an assistive tool and you'll be golden. :)
Hey there, I've been a JS/Web dev teacher in college for almost 20 years now so I've seen the evolution from plain notepad to now AI. My advice to my students is to start without AI or just use it to ask questions and learn, not to generate code.
That's what I've been doing, since I don't have access to an actual 'teacher' to help I've used AI, specifically Google's Gemini to explain advanced concepts, it's actually been sooo helpful. Awesome work on your page btw, looking forward to updates!
