AGORESPACE

Agorespace has been building multisport pitches in France since 1989. Six thousand of them, for UEFA, the French Football Federation, the city of Paris and four thousand rural towns.

The promise of the product is that one pitch holds up to eight sports, and that you configure it yourself: clients pick their own modules. That turns out to be very hard to photograph. A still image shows one pitch in one configuration, which is the opposite of what a buyer needs to see.

So I built both pitches in real-time 3D, the multisport and the TF5, modelled from the technical drawings and site photography, then textured and animated.

The multisport one couldn't be a model. It had to be a kit. Every module swaps as you change the sport inside the experience, the same way the real product is ordered. That meant building it the way the factory thinks: parts that interchange cleanly, rather than one sculpture that happens to hold up from a good angle.

I did all the animation, the hotspots that walk you through each part of the pitch, and the interactive shader on the homepage and footer type, built with Unicorn Studio. The rotating product shots on the spec pages are mine too.

For a town council spending public money on something they have never seen in person, the scene does the job a site visit would.
